Size: Carton of (30) 1 lb. bags

RSC15 are 8 denier, ductile mono-filament PVA fibers (Polyvinyl Alcohol) for use in creating fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC). These fibers are used primarily to increase the flexibility and toughness of concrete. These fibers lend their 4200 ksi (29 GPa) of flexural strength to your concrete allowing it to bend where normal concrete would break.  These PVA fibers bond on a molecular level (hydrogen bonding) within concrete, creating a multi-dimensional network of it's tensile strength (210 ksi [1400 MPa]).

Meets the requirements of ASTM C-1116, Section 4.1.3 and AC-32 at 1.0 lb (0.45 kg) per CY.

RSC15 can be added directly to the mixing system during or after the batching of the ingredients and mixed at high speed for a minimum of five minutes. Additional mixing does not adversely affect the distribution or overall performance of PVA.

The addition of RSC15 at the normal or high dosage rate does not require any mix design or application changes. A water reducer or super-plasticizer is recommended in concrete products where improved workability and finishability are desired. PVA reinforcing fiber acts with a molecular bond in the concrete with a multi-dimensional fiber network. It does not affect curing process chemically.
