RMS702 by Nycon can be added directly to the mixing system during or after the batching of the ingredients and mixed at high speed for a minimum of five minutes. Additional mixing does not adversely affect the distribution or overall performance of PVA.
The addition of RMS702 at the normal or high dosage rate does not require any mix design or application changes. A water reducer or super-plasticizer is recommended in concrete products where improved workability and finishability are desired. PVA reinforcing fiber acts with a molecular bond in the concrete with a multi-dimensional fiber network. It does not affect curing process chemically.
RMS702 by Nycon are ultra fine fibers for use in creating fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC). These fibers are commonly used in very thin applications where moisture and ductility are important. RECS7's small denier means your concrete can contain more fibers per in3. At 5 Denier (24 microns) filament diameter, it works very well with material flow allowing for ease in extrusion. These PVA fibers bond on a molecular level (hydrogen bonding) within concrete, creating a multi-dimensional network of tensile (240 ksi (1600 MPa) ) and flexural strength.

The Winning Entry: Nycon PVA Fibers Make a Tough and Durable Concrete Canoe
Nycon PVA RMS702 fibers led to Cal Poly’s winning entry. This was due to the low weight and a high flexural strength of the concrete mixture.Cal Poly specifically stated in their design paper that “[Nycon] 6 mm PVA fibers, assisted...
