Project Overview

Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymers (GFRP) rebar was used for the construction of this new structure situated in the Siletz Bay, a Federally protected estuary, on the Oregon Coast Highway 101.

Project Highlights

• #5 and #6 GFRP bars were used in the construction of the new bridge deck.
• GFRP rebar corrosion resistance, durability and low weight are properties that offer long lasting infrastructures and performance to owners.
• The rebar was delivered on time to the site, simplifying the management of the construction process.
