Lightweight

Concrete doesn't have to be heavier to be stronger.
If lightweight concrete is your goal, you're looking to leave metal reinforcement behind.
You want a product with comparable strength, but a low density.
At NYCON we offer any of our PVA fibers.
These products have been tested to significantly increase compressive and flexural strength of a concrete mix with only a minimal increase in weight (1.3 Specific Gravity).Contact Us for a Quote

RECS15
RECS15 by Nycon are 8 denier, ductile mono-filament PVA fibers (Polyvinyl Alcohol) for use in creating fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC). The primary benefits of RECS15 are an increase in the flexibility and toughness of concrete. These fibers lend their 5700 ksi (40 GPa) of flexural strength to your concrete allowing it to bend where normal concrete would break. RECS15 is coated to aid in dispersion and increase strain hardening. These PVA fibers bond on a molecular level (hydrogen bonding) within concrete, creating a multi-dimensional network of tensile (240 ksi (1600 MPa) ) and flexural strength.
RECS100
RECS100 by Nycon are 20 denier, mono-filament PVA fibers (Polyvinyl Alcohol) for use in creating fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC). The primary benefits of RECS100 are lightweight flexural strength as well as increased impact and abrasion resistance. They are a preferred reinforcement solution for applications under a 1/2 inch thick. RECS100 fibers can replace glass fibers in GFRC at a third of the weight of glass. These PVA fibers bond on a molecular level (hydrogen bonding) within concrete, creating a multi-dimensional network of tensile (180 ksi (1200 MPa)) and flexural (3600 ksi (25 GPa)) strength.
RSC15
RSC15 by Nycon are 8 denier, ductile mono-filament PVA fibers (Polyvinyl Alcohol) for use in creating fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC). These fibers are used primarily to increase the flexibility and toughness of concrete. These fibers lend their 4200 ksi (29 GPa) of flexural strength to your concrete allowing it to bend where normal concrete would break. These PVA fibers bond on a molecular level (hydrogen bonding) within concrete, creating a multi-dimensional network of it's tensile strength (210 ksi (1400 MPa) ).
RFS400
RFS400 by Nycon are PVA fibers (Polyvinyl Alcohol) with a denier of 40 for use in creating fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC). These fibers are designed for the purpose of adding flexural strength to concrete and improving impact and abrasion resistance. RFS400 also provides shrinkage and temperature crack control. These PVA fibers bond on a molecular level (hydrogen bonding) within concrete, creating a multi-dimensional network of tensile (240 ksi (1600 MPa) ) and flexural strength.
