Size: Carton of (30) 1 lb. bags

RFD400H fibers are made of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) and have a denier of 360, specifically designed for use in fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC). These fibers enhance the concrete’s flexural strength, impact resistance, and abrasion resistance. They also help prevent balling and improve distribution within the mix. Additionally, RFD400H fibers control shrinkage and temperature-induced cracking. They bond at a molecular level through hydrogen bonding, forming a multi-dimensional network that boosts both tensile strength (240 ksi or 1600 MPa) and flexural strength in the concrete.

Meets the requirements of ASTM C-1116, Section 4.1.3 and AC-32 at 1.0 lb (0.45 kg) per CY.

RFD400H can be added directly to the mixing system during or after the batching of the ingredients and mixed at high speed for a minimum of five minutes. Additional mixing does not adversely affect the distribution or overall performance of PVA.

The addition of RFD400H at the normal or high dosage rate does not require any mix design or application changes. A water reducer or super-plasticizer is recommended in concrete products where improved workability and finishability are desired. PVA reinforcing fiber acts with a molecular bond in the concrete with a multi-dimensional fiber network. It does not affect curing process chemically.
